In an effort to help guide young lawyers through their practice, TYLA is continuing to revamp and feature the Ten Minute Mentor (TMM) website. TMM is a collection of videos that are about 10 minutes long and guide you through various aspects of your practice. Every other month, eNews will feature a new TMM video.

This month’s video is “Tips for Your First Jury Trial.” Filmed by TYLA Director Zeke Fortenberry, the video focuses on some practical advice when preparing for a jury trial. Some of the highlights include a discussion on the importance of being you, recommendations for avoiding legal jargon in your courtroom dialogue, and tips for building credibility with the jury.
