Lawyers & Libations – The Houston Young Lawyers Association hosted its first Lawyers & Libations Membership Drive at Saint Arnold Brewery on Sept. 10. Over 200 young attorneys socialized and enjoyed light bites and local craft beers. Over 70 young lawyers signed up to be HYLA members at the event! At the party, HYLA accepted stuffed animal donations for the Bears for Babies Committee for the National Adoption Day Program through the Harris County Child Protective Services. This year HYLA is focused on revamping its events, communications, and benefits for its members. Part of these efforts included changing HYLA’s logo and switching to a more user-friendly electronic newsletter. At the event, HYLA handed out koozies printed with the new logo and the Houston skyline that included a list of upcoming events. Thank you to all attendees, and to the Host Committee, Arts & Entertainment Committee, Marketing Committee, and all the volunteers who made Lawyers & Libations a tremendous success. We hope to see you at HYLA’s signature Evening with the Judiciary on Oct. 30 at Brennan’s of Houston.
