2010 State Bar Election

April 12,2010

The 2010 election for the State Bar of Texas is currently underway. You have the opportunity to cast your ballot and participate in determining who the next presidents-elect for the State Bar and TYLA, as well as district directors for the Board.

In years past, voter turnout has been extremely low. Members have given a multitude of excuses for not voting; including the amount of time it takes to losing the ballot that had been mailed to them. In recent years, the State Bar allowed online voting through its web site; however, online voting required individual access codes that were mailed to each member. Most members complained that by the time the election rolled around, they had misplaced the access code and could not vote online.

This year, there are no excuses! By clicking here, you will be taken to the web site that will allow you to vote with only your bar number, the last four digits of your social security number, and your birth date. If you prefer to vote by paper, you should have received a paper ballot. If not, please e-mail custserv@vres.us or call (800) 218-4026. The deadline to cast your vote is April 30, 2010, at 5:00 p.m.
