ABA YLD Update

By: Travis Patterson

Are you interested in becoming more involved in the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division? ABA YLD is currently accepting applications for YLD Scholarships. The YLD Scholarship Program is designed to encourage the participation of minority, solo/small firm, government, private sector, and military service attorneys in the Young Lawyers Division. Priority is given to those applicants who express a desire to become actively involved with the division and require financial assistance. Accepted scholars will receive great benefits that are described on the website. All “young lawyers” that fit the bill are encouraged to apply.

Just make partner or getting close? The ABA YLD is hosting a National Institute for New Partners on April 17, 2015, in Washington, D.C. At the one-day institute, you will network with new partners around the country, learn from top practitioners as they share key considerations for new partners, receive CLE credit, and much more.

All ABA YLD members are encouraged to take advantage of these upcoming FREE teleconferences and webinars:

Enforceability of Arbitration Clauses in Employment Contracts April 3 @ 1 p.m. ET – teleconference

Public Private Partnerships in Cybersecurity April 7 @ 3 p.m. ET – teleconference
