ABA YLD Update

Happy Holidays from the ABA/YLD. As the each year closes, we often take the time to write resolutions and seek to make improvements in ourselves for the upcoming year. The ABA/YLD wants to help.

First, join us in New Orleans the first weekend in February to take advantage of the New Year’s first opportunity to network and learn from some of the greatest lawyers from around the country. The Midyear Meeting is always a great way to meet people and get some top quality CLE along the way. Also at the Midyear Meeting, the YLD Assembly will meet to debate several new resolutions, as well as discuss the Division’s projects for the year. The Midyear Meeting will get you well on your way to expanding your practice by meeting new people and getting great practical advice.

Second, it is never too early to start planning for the 2012-2013 bar year by applying for leadership positions in the ABA/YLD. By volunteering with the YLD, you get the opportunity to develop leadership skills, serve the public, focus on addressing specific legal problems or issues and, of course, meet great people. The deadline for submitting your application is February 15, 2012. For more information, go to the Appointments Webpage and the online application form.
