ABA YLD Update

Young lawyers from across the country gathered in Tampa Bay recently to attend the ABA YLD Spring Conference.  As always, Texas was well-represented by TYLA President Rebekah Brooker and the rest of the TYLA Executive Committee.  TYLA has always been seen by other state bar young lawyer associations as the “leader-in-the-clubhouse,” and that will not be changing anytime soon.  We are excited that Texas’s own Lacy Durham will soon be taking the helm as the ABA YLD president! She will be a great voice for Texas young lawyers on the national stage.  We know she has some great initiatives planned for next year that will help young lawyers everywhere.

Also, please note that the ABA YLD Awards of Achievement nomination process is open.  The nomination deadline is June 15, so if you have a project you would like to highlight for your affiliate, be sure to get your nomination in soon.
