Amarillo’s Tim Williams: 2014-2015 Outstanding Young Lawyer of Texas

TYLA is proud to select Amarillo’s Tim Williams as the recipient of the 2014-2015 TYLA Outstanding Young Lawyer Award of Texas.  Tim’s tireless dedication to the practice of law, his community, and his family make him an exceptional choice for this year’s award.  Tim is an accomplished young attorney at the firm of Sprouse Shrader Smith, PLLC, where his practice focuses on civil litigation.  Tim graduated at the top of his class at Baylor Law School, where he also served on the law review while waiting tables in the evenings and working as a delivery driver at a local flower shop.

Since law school, Tim has dedicated a significant amount of his time serving local bar organizations and civic clubs and coaching the local high school mock trial team. Tim’s mock trial teams have placed in the top five in the state and in the top 10 nationwide.  Tim’s dedication to his community has also landed him in some unusual predicaments, including wearing a bunny suit for the Amarillo Area Young Lawyers Association 5K run, “The Bunny Hop.”  (Tim is the hare in the middle.)

Tim is also a selfless and loving dad to his three children and a giving husband.  As Tim humbly admits, “I spend countless hours playing My Little Pony and Princess Palace Pet with my daughters.  I can sing almost every word of every song in Frozen… .I drive a minivan.”

Congratulations, Tim, for this well-deserved honor.
